The opening narrative states, “As we appear from a uniquely challenging year, we are grateful for the bright spots: for resilient educators, researchers, and leaders who persisted against daunting odds; for donors and volunteers who generously supported our efforts to continue advancing our profession; and for science, which illuminated our path forward.
This cover generates curiosity by creating a reveal using a grid of circle die-cuts where bright spots of color peak through. The theme statement “Bright Spots. Bright Minds. Bright Tomorrow.” sets up this concept. The cover reveals an asymmetrical dynamic pattern formed with shapes pieced together featuring the grant award winners. The bright spots are always around. We need to look in the right places.
